Working Woman

I recently got a lil promotion at work which got me thinking about my current work-wear. There is a very lenient dress code in my department and let's be honest, when it comes to dress codes people (me) usually tend to get an inch and take a mile. For those of you strange cave persons who don't know this expression it just means people take advantage. So I'm going to try and take this opportunity to dress more office-appropriate (maturity). I'm also going to take this opportunity as an excuse to shop (intelligence). Here are a few pieces I'm eying as office wear with a little edge.

Planning your one and only sister's wedding is a once in a lifetime experience. We are just 10 months away from the big day and I am actively planning slash obsessing. I just want everything to be beyond perfect! *insert heartburn here* (I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets heartburn when I get too excited?) There are so many great ideas that I would love to share with you all but since my sister is my most loyal and possibly only reader I am going to refrain.

Suit up

One of the most important (and conventional) things my mother taught me was to dress the part. So I'm the girl at the job interview in full formal wear with her hair in an up-do. It may seem like a little much but it's treated me pretty well so far. (Don't get me wrong though, if you suck wearing leggings you're going to suck wearing a suit too. You might suck a little less but nothing substantial.) This being said I think your interview outfit should show off your personality. This would be my perfect one :
