I haven't been feeling very bloggy lately. My sister was all 'Uh Cassie you have to blog every single day if you want people to keep reading your stuff' and I was all 'Shut it'. She may be right but what can I say, the inspiration and motivation was lacking. Blame the complete chaos in my city right now. Blame the weather getting worst and worst every day (yes it snowed just the other day). And blame the overall crappy mood these factors have put me in. But blogs are not for bitching, right? They are for sharing purty things and comic relief.
So... Dresses! You know what's great about dresses? They are an outfit.

I have a few obsessions that I feel will never fade. I love nautical things. I still wear the style, I was probably abnormally excited about Titanic in 3D, I've had pirate-themed parties, oh and also I work in the cruise ship industry full time. There's something about the sea that is both relaxing and exciting at the same time, no?

Friday food-day

Something about Fridays makes me want to eat carbs. Maybe it's because it's been a long hard week and my little heart needs the comfort. Maybe it's because my lazy ass doesn't feel like cooking anything that involves more than 2 steps. Whatever the reason join me, won't you. And have a lovely weekend filled with love and carbs.

 

Thursday nailday

I have been obsessed with my nails ever since I can remember. My mother let me paint them (or should I say let me let her paint them) as soon as I was old enough to ask. She used to do flowers and polka dots and basically everything I could dream of. And then the dry time. The longest twenty minutes of my life. I've always been impatient but this was beyond impatience. I knew in my heart I wanted them to look perfect and I had to wait it out but I also knew I really really wanted to put socks on right away. As a grown woman the obsession continues but the dry time has become not only tolerable but enjoyable. Maturity.

Wednesday purseday

Purses are hard right? I'm always attracted to the most flashy ones but then they don't go with everything. And no I'm not a 'one bright piece per outfit' kind of gal. I'm attracted to things that are different and bright. Clothes. Accessories. Nail polish. Men. (Winky wink.)

Teusday shoeday

When it comes to shoes I say the more the merrier. What does that mean? Quantity over quality. (Gasp from the audience.) I get sick of my shoes so fast that it would make no sense to spend a fortune on certain styles (heels, sandals, flats). The only shoe I ever really invest in are boots. Because I live in the Canada (if you know what I mean). I would also probably invest in running shoes if they were useful for my lifestyle which they are not. So these are perfect for me and my wallet!

Dress me up before you go go

I have to admit I have the uncontrollable urge to dress up my dog all the time. She's a mix of  pug and boston so she's taller than a normal pug and wears the clothes sooo well. I'm not insane, I don't buy her dresses and high heels and one-piece pyjamas. She has a reasonable amount of useful clothing. (Does using this much italic make me lose all credibility?) She has a nautical raincoat for rainy days, a checkered flannel hoodie for the fall, and a few Chanel pieces so she fits in with the other muts at the dog park. What can I say? Some dogs look so good in clothes. (This site has some great finds!)     

I rest my case.

I just discovered Nasty Gal, this awesome online store! Some of the stuff is a little crazy but mostly in a good way. (Can you identify with this description, cause I sure can.)

Sick Ride Dude

As strange as this sounds I have very fond memories of being sick. I had to go to the hospital quite a bit at a point in my adolescence but I can't say it was all bad. Sure there was some pain and some scary shit but mostly there was missing school, presents and shopping and eating out with my mother after every doctor's appointment. I don't know if it was her point to make it feel like a birthday every time but it almost did. (Do I realise how lucky I am? Yes.) Turns out being sick when you don't live with your parents is not that fun. You just kind of sit on your couch. Sick. (With your baby pug glued to your lap.) A little depressing. Kind of like how he must feel:
