Ne
Time has been literally flying by these past few weeks. These neon shorts made me stop and stare however. Nobody likes a big neon butt so I'm not going to purchase these (in the interest of being honest). But all you tiny little girls definitely should! Do it for me.

Pretty in pink
I am sooo feeling the pink this summer. I got my nails done last weekend a light pink and I just can't stop matching it with coral now. Coral purse. Coral toenails. Sooo pretty. Here are a few more things that would match my nails right now. And my mood.

She rocks my socks
Long time no blog! My work has been keeping me pretty busy but not to worry - the daydreaming never ceases. I've been obsessing with the perfect summer look lately. Some people seem to have it all figured out, don't they. Like this girl. Holy crap I love her site. It's the perfect summer daydreaming site for inspiration. And torture.

Working Woman
I recently got a lil promotion at work which got me thinking about my current work-wear. There is a very lenient dress code in my department and let's be honest, when it comes to dress codes people (me) usually tend to get an inch and take a mile. For those of you strange cave persons who don't know this expression it just means people take advantage. So I'm going to try and take this opportunity to dress more office-appropriate (maturity). I'm also going to take this opportunity as an excuse to shop (intelligence). Here are a few pieces I'm eying as office wear with a little edge.
The difference between casual and smart-casual is all about the type of fabric, don't you think?

Suit up
One of the most important (and conventional) things my mother taught me was to dress the part. So I'm the girl at the job interview in full formal wear with her hair in an up-do. It may seem like a little much but it's treated me pretty well so far. (Don't get me wrong though, if you suck wearing leggings you're going to suck wearing a suit too. You might suck a little less but nothing substantial.) This being said I think your interview outfit should show off your personality. This would be my perfect one :
Plus black blazer and opaque black tights (some say stockings).

Girl's best friend
I haven't been feeling very bloggy lately. My sister was all 'Uh Cassie you have to blog every single day if you want people to keep reading your stuff' and I was all 'Shut it'. She may be right but what can I say, the inspiration and motivation was lacking. Blame the complete chaos in my city right now. Blame the weather getting worst and worst every day (yes it snowed just the other day). And blame the overall crappy mood these factors have put me in. But blogs are not for bitching, right? They are for sharing purty things and comic relief.
So... Dresses! You know what's great about dresses? They are an outfit.

Seaman
I have a few obsessions that I feel will never fade. I love nautical things. I still wear the style, I was probably abnormally excited about Titanic in 3D, I've had pirate-themed parties, oh and also I work in the cruise ship industry full time. There's something about the sea that is both relaxing and exciting at the same time, no?
And how 'bout this super cute dress?

Happy Easter to you!
I don't celebrate Easter but if I did this would be my Easter dress :
I do celebrate long weekends however and I'm sure you do too. So enjoy!
And this would be my Easter food :
Dress me up before you go go
I have to admit I have the uncontrollable urge to dress up my dog all the time. She's a mix of pug and boston so she's taller than a normal pug and wears the clothes sooo well. I'm not insane, I don't buy her dresses and high heels and one-piece pyjamas. She has a reasonable amount of useful clothing. (Does using this much italic make me lose all credibility?) She has a nautical raincoat for rainy days, a checkered flannel hoodie for the fall, and a few Chanel pieces so she fits in with the other muts at the dog park. What can I say? Some dogs look so good in clothes. (This site has some great finds!)
I rest my case.

You nasty thing
I just discovered Nasty Gal, this awesome online store! Some of the stuff is a little crazy but mostly in a good way. (Can you identify with this description, cause I sure can.)
How cute is this girl?! Supa cute.

Summer lovin
The weather is definitely messing with our emotions here in Montreal. Last week we were wearing sandals, this week we woke up to snow. It's getting confusing and aggravating up in here. I just can't wait to start familiarizing myself with my spring wardrobe so I can evaluate what I'm missing and look good asap! (Don't I have better things to worry about? No. Not at the moment.) We all know the first few weeks of a new season are never great in terms of fashion. People wearing flats with socks, suede shoes in puddles, sweating bullets in winter jackets... You may or may not care but here are a few things I plan on wearing (just bought the nail polish!) :

Number One Fan
Scarves are probably my most favorite accessory. They hide unwanted cleavage at the office or at children birthday parties, they can make outfits more dressy (silky scarf) or more casual (big big scarf) and they feel like a constant hug (if the person you are hugging has almost weightless, freakishly soft, boneless arms). I recently discovered this etsy shop seller who has quite a variety! I won't be ordering these online however (the shipping is a little bit high because the seller is located in Turkey) and I'll be visiting Istanbul this summer so I am going to keep my eyes open! (You should also know the seller's name is fatwoman which is hilarious.)
